Sparkling Wine Champagne Nicolas Maillart Brut Platine Premier Cru. Drink within 4 years of disgorgement. Comprised of a blend of Pinot Noir (80%) and Chardonnay (20%). Only hand picked Grand and 1er Cru grapes were used to express this Platine Premier Cru Champagne. You will find its light golden color charming and inviting as you watch the fine, close-packed beads swizzle their way up to tickle your nose as you inhale the intoxicating aromas wafting up from the flute. Toasted brioche, hazelnuts, and almonds, oak, stone fruits, ripe peach, and pear all present themselves in clean layers. White peach explodes on the palate followed by oak and tertiary orchard fruits. This Champagne is light and crisp in all the right places; slightly sweet and seductively tangy minerality. Upon the first sip, it may appear almost too dry. Keep sipping to unlock the richness hidden deep in this Brut Platine 1er Cru. Enjoy this Champagne chilled at 7°C. The dryness of this wine pairs particularly well with creamy cow or goat milk cheeses, fresh apples, pears, and stone fruits, cold meats, salads, fish and shellfish dishes, spicy Asian fare, and rice dishes. Nicolas Maillart took control of the family winery in 2003 after completing studies in engineering and enology. The family history can be traced back to 1753, although there are documents suggesting the Maillart family has been in the vine-growing business since the 1500s. The Maillart family cultivates only Pinot Noir (75%) and Chardonnay (25%) grapes on their estate, maintaining the traditions of the Champagne region

Sparkling Wine Champagne Nicolas Maillart Brut Platine Premier Cru
Sparkling Wine Champagne Nicolas Maillart Rose Grand Cru. This delicious Rosé Grand Crú was elaborated from 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay grapes. The fruit expressed for this wine are only the finest 1er Crú and Grand Crú grapes which are hand picked for a small production. The alcohol content is 12.5%. This Champagne has an inviting salmon pink color and a mesmerizing fine bead that lasts. The nose is intense with red fruits dressed in pink and warm toasted vanilla. The first taste is of white cherry compote, fleur de sel, toasted brioche with cream. Tertiary nuances of orchard blossom lend a delicate floral note. Fresh, fruity and vinous with mouthwatering acidity. Ginger and citrus zest take the main stage for a grandiose finale. Serve chilled, at 7°C. Enjoy with red fruit (especially berries) or cooked salmon as an aperitif or accompanying light meals, mild cheeses, and fresh or steamed vegetables. The Maillart family has been cultivating grapes since 1753. Nicolas Maillart is the ninth generation to oversee the vineyards in Chamery. Remaining loyal to the traditions of the Champagne region, the Maillart estate is only planted with Pinot Noir (75%) and Chardonnay (25%). The bulk of the vines is planted mid-slope, in Bouzy terroir, which is favorable for cultivating and harvesting in the cool climates. The grapes undergo 52 hours of maceration to impart the beautiful color. The bottles are rested on the lees for at least one year and disgorged right before release.

Sparkling Wine Champagne Soutiran Collection Privee Brut Grand Cru. Serve well chilled. Based in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay in the Montagne de Reims, Champagne Soutiran carefully select only the finest grapes from their own vineyards and nearby grapegrowers to craft their exquisite Champagnes. Here delicate notes of gingerbread, pear and dried toasted bread leap out of the flute, while nearly six years of ageing in the cellar has added a luxurious richness and complexity to the palate. Baked apple, honey and brioche flavours combine harmoniously with lemon zest, almonds and hints of jasmine. Thanks to the fuller body and impressive depth of flavour, this Champagne shines when paired with heavy fish dishes like pan-fried tuna steak or a South Indian fish curry. Founded in the 1950s by Gérard Soutiran, the house is still owned by the same family today with Gérard’s granddaughter Valérie and her husband Patrick responsible for running the business. The Soutiran family believe that creating authentic Champagnes takes time so they allow their bottles to sleep in their cellar for at least five to eight years to reach full maturity. Production of this sumptuous Grand Cru Champagne is limited to just eight thousand bottles each year. The assemblage consists of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay with around 10% coming from reserve wines to ensure loyalty to the house style. This is a robust Champagne which will continue to grow in beauty if cellared up until 2028.
